Videoconferencing Room and Equipment Rentals

The Educational Technology Training Center at Camden County Technical Schools has "state of the art" videoconferencing centers in both its Gloucester Township and Pennsauken campuses capable of supporting up to 25 participants for videoconferencing programs. In addition to down-linked satellite based programs, each center has the ability to connect over high speed ISDN digital phone lines or via IP networking technology to videoconferencing sites around the world for meetings, seminars, distance learning, and other interactive programs for your organization. Additionally, these facilities have multiple technologies that are integrated into the rooms for multimedia and presentation uses.

Multipoint Conferencing Bridge Services

The Camden County Educational Technology Training Center has a 24 port videoconferencing bridge available for rental and use by videoconferencing locations throughout the world. A bridge is a multipoint videoconferencing server that allows two or more videoconferencing systems to connect and communicate simultaneously. By utilizing a bridge, guest speakers and other activities can be shared with more than one or two sites.

The ETTC's Bridge is connected to two T1-ISDN-PRI (Primary Rate Interface) lines for a total of 46 ISDN B-Channels along with a high speed T1+ 10mbps IP connection. The bridge can handle up to 24 concurrent connections at 384k combining both ISDN and IP connections. The system has advanced scheduling features and can coordinate and facilitate multipoint conferences, and manage any technical issues associated with bridging activities.

Gateway Services

The Camden County Educational Technology Training Center has an H.323/H.320 Gateway for use by members of CAMNET who utilize the CAMNET II network. This gateway provides services to those sites who wish to utilize CAMNET II's expanded bandwidth for IP based videoconferencing. This gateway is connected via IP to CAMNET II and ISDN through a T1 ISDN-PRI line. This gateway provides translation between ISDN Networks (H.320) and the CAMNET IP Network (H323).

Distance Learning Applications

Videoconferencing technology allows two or more people at different locations to see and hear each other at the same time. In addition, it is often possible to share computer applications such as Internet pages, library catalogs, or software. This rich communications technology offers new possibilities for schools, colleges, libraries, and other organizations for formal instruction (courses, lessons, and tutoring), connection with guest speakers and experts, multi-site project collaboration, professional activities suchas meetings and interviews, training and community events.

Technical Consulting and Training

The ETTC can assist you in assessing your needs for videoconferencing technology form equipment purchasing to network needs. The ETTC has on-staff a Certified Videoconferencing Engineer who can assist you with all technical issues.

Through scheduled and customized workshops the ETTC can provide hands-on training on using videoconferencing equipment and other topics pertaining to conference management and effective presentations using this medium.
